My work is based on the abstraction of rejected environments such as garbage and the responsibility that man has in its existence and disorganized propagation. I was born in Caracas – Venezuela, where I live and develop my line of investigation. My influence comes from unstable situations that have affected our society and thus realize the fragility of life, generating a great impotence in me.
The current photographic series I’m working on is focused on raising questions about current social events. I seek to generate a visual and emotional conflict, exploring the modification of materials without any cultural significance. The reflection on the relation between the materials used in the artwork is presented in an abstract way by means of repetition and symmetry.
With this series I dabble into new ground, challenging the viewers, inviting them to reconsider the potential of the rejected environment that surrounds us.
